Algunos retratos contienen una especie de gui\u00f1o oculto: las aberturas nasales de las calaveras tienen formas que simbolizan alg\u00fan aspecto de la persona retratada. Me he tomado la osad\u00eda sacr\u00edlega de elevar a estas figuras a una suerte de santidad, representada por la llama sobre sus cr\u00e1neos.
